MDAH Archaeology Trails
The Mississippi Department of Archives and History Archaeology Trails Website serves professional archaeologists as well as teachers and students interested in both archaeology and the various cultural and ecological facets which it embraces. Nested in the site are the findings of true archaeological explorations conducted by several colleges along with detailed photos, videos, and links to the resultant scientific papers.

Branching up from these local explorations are examinations of the regional ecology and culture based on a timeline spanning the entire site. Many random topics are explored including pottery, soil, and the various tools used by archaeologists to render their findings. Lesson plans are included for teachers and games for the young at heart. A mobile version presents audio information on Mississippi's Indian Mounds.
